Jennifer Lopez Chooses Her Top Three Items From Her Closet

Jennifer Lopez was asked one very tough question…. which three items would she choose to keep from her closet!

Oh my!

And after thinking really hard about it, JLo narrows it down to her top three items which include…

Some black leggings, black over-the-knee boots, and an "amazing jacket."

Check out the clip above to watch as JLo struggles to narrow it down.

If U had to choose which three items to keep in your closet, what would it be?

Q&A: How To Avoid Bubbles When Adding A Top Coat To Your Polish

CoCoPerez reader Ali writes:

Hi Leah,

What would you recommend as a great top coat – mine seems to leave bubbles on it?

Thanks
Ali

Celebrity nail artist Leah Light has a simple solution:

Hi Ali

My all time favourite top coat would have to be the Lumos top coat by Famous Names. It dries fast and solid in 10 minutes and leaves your polish with a high shine! Love love love

I hope that helps you

Q&A: Quit Biting Your Nails

Hi Leah!

So my NYE Resolution is to STOP biting my nails - any points / suggestions /
products?  Appreciate your help.

Thanks, James

Celebrity nail artist Leah Light to the rescue!

Hi James

!

Ok this is a tricky one … Firstly let me say well done on the forward thinking! Preparation is always key when it comes to making any plans to do something.

You should make sure you have a good nail oil on hand at all times, this way you can try to replace the habit of nibbling with that of applying oil! Not only will that make you feel good but it will also help with the circulation and growth of the nails. Keep a nail file at the ready for any little emergency snags or tears you may get, this is a sure fire way to keep them out of your mouth! Personally I am not a fan of the bad tasting nail treatments you can get (if you are an accomplished nail biter, you get used to the awful taste rather quickly) however anything is worth a try if its really something you want to do.

Good Luck :)

Q&A: Will Painting Your Dog's Nails Get Them Sick

CoCoPerez reader Andy writes:

Hi Leah,

This may sound a bit weird but can my dog get sick if i paint her nails?

Thank you
Andy

Celebrity nail stylist Leah Light's answer:

Hi Andy

Personally it is not something I have ever done … I do know there are polishes made specifically for dogs however I don't feel comfortable reccomending any brands as have had no experience with them. Just make sure that if you do go ahead that you only use products that are free from DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde, all these ingredients are linked to cancer, developmental/reproductive toxicity and allergies.

I hope that helps you.

Using Powder Foundation Has It Benefits Over Thick Concealers

chloe-butcher-shares-makeup-tips.jpg

A CoColicious reader asks our makeup expert Chloë Butcher:

Hi Chloe,

I only use powder foundation, and it's oil-free, but I use a thick oily concealer under my eyes, it's actually theatrical-grade concealer. Do I need to skip that? My blushes are powdered and oil-free as well, so are those okay?

Thanks
Susan

Chloë responds:

Hi Susan,

Is there a reason for using such thick concealer? I find the lighter the better as it stops product gathering in any creases and actually helps you look more youthful and fresh. Try MAC Select Moisture cover. Personally I think it works miracles and doesn't dry the area out.

If you are using powder foundations it is best to stick to powder blush as it is the same texture.

What To Do If you Have Dry Skin

chloe-butcher-shares-makeup-tips.jpg

A CoColicious reader asks our makeup expert Chloë Butcher:

Hi Chloe,

I have really dry facial skin. I need oily items just to get rid of the flakes I get. I assume that anything with shea butter and olive oil are out. Can I use Vaseline Intensive Care lotions or creams?

Thanks
Jo

Chloë reveals:

Hi Jo!

I suggest you try some of Decleors range of facial oils. They are brilliant! My favourite is Neroli as its great for all skin types but you could try Aromique
