Someone "weed" like to see in the role!

As Demi Moore is currently seeking treatment for substance abuse seizures "exhaustion," she no longer is available to star as Gloria Steinem in the biopic of Linda Lovelace, which is shooting now. The Lovelace crew were forced to recast the role and announced today that Mary Louise Parker will be stepping in.

While the part is small, it is also a vital role in the flick and opportunity that a lot of people were eager to see Demi flourish in. However, we can't say that Mary Louise isn't a top-notch second choice. In fact, if her work on Weeds is any indication, she's definitely got the gumption to pull this part off.

Congrats on the upgrade, Mary!

Ah! Now we understand why it got pushed back two weeks. Someone still has some work to do!

Yesterday, Catherine Zeta-Jones was spotted in El Lay, filming a new scene for Rock of Ages. While most of the movie is already in the can, Zeta had a few reshoots to complete with her costar Bryan Cranston (who plays her husband) before they could call a wrap on her part.

Must've been a very looooooong day of shooting. Poor dear looks hella tired. It's a good thing she isn't preggo. Too much stress is no good for a baby!

Hopefully, you're all done now and you'll get to take a much needed rest!

So lovely! Our eyes are welling up!

Over the weekend, U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords released an inspiring video in which she announced that she'll be retiring from Congress to focus on her recovery.

Then yesterday, Gabby met with Daniel Hernandez, the gay intern who saved her life, for the first time since she was shot in the head last year.

She also met with other survivors of the January 2011 Tuscon, Arizona shooting during a "Congress on Your Corner" event.

We're sure it was an intense, emotional experience for her to reunite with the man who saved her life…and we're sure it was also a fulfilling one.

We continue to wish Gabby the best of luck with her recovery!

That's not a great foot to start out on, but maybe the controversy will help make this year better than ever — you know, capture the attention of those listening?

Sundance is being slapped with a defamation lawsuit because of one of the documentaries being shown on opening day!

The movie is called The Queen of Versailles, and is based on David Siegel, a timeshare developer, his wife Jackie and the construction of their huge mansion in Florida.

It's being advertised as a "rags to riches to rags" story.

This doesn't sit well with David, so he's suing them because

We hate to have to celebrate any loss of life, but this woman's story is truly incredible, and she needs to be lauded for her bravery in such dire circumstances.

Sarah McKinley, an 18 year old mother of an infant boy and, as of Christmas day, widow to a deceased husband who lost his battle with cancer, was forced to shoot and kill an intruder in Oklahoma on New Year's Eve when he and accomplice attempted to break into her house with force and a long hunting knife.

So absolutely twisted that this man would single out someone who had already endured so much, and wish to inflict more pain and violence upon them.

This is so, so tragic.

The up-and-coming rapper Slim Dunkin was shot and killed in an Atlanta recording studio Friday night.

He was shot once in the chest with a handgun at around 5:30 pm as he was working in the studio, preparing to make a video. About a dozen people were also in the studio.
