SyFy and Asylum have partnered to bring us Sharknado-themed fashion tees, bags, posters, accessories, costumes and games. The companies claim all this swag will "extend the 'Sharknado 'pop culture and social media phenomenon."
Syfy had the following to say about their latest business decision:
Tara Reid star of Sharknado hasn't said "fin" on the project yet!
For those who have been living under a rock (or a reef), the flick Sharknado is essentially one part Jaws, one part Twister, and about 8 parts awesome! Actually make that 9 parts because Tara just said she'd be up for doing a sequel.
In an interview given today after SyFy's successful premiere of the flick last night, Tara said that she'd up for fighting against a school of airborne sharks once again:
We are NOT all for killing sharks, because sharks rarely kill us and are totally misunderstood. That doesn't stop the world from slaughtering THOUSANDS of them a year, and it's mostly because we're huge jerks!
What we are ALL for is a movie about sharks that weaponize a tornado, or a tornado that weaponizes sharks… actually, we don't really know what the real plot of Sharknado is! We do know it has the best title of all time AND we're pretty sure one of the characters is using a chainsaw at some point!
Sounds like cinematic history to us! LOLz!

M. Night Shyamalan may have fallen from fans' grace after making such shyamalbombs as Lady In The Water, The Happening and The Last Airbender, but that's not stopping him from trying new things.
For the first time in his career, the writer and director plans to put one his visions on the small screen. He is working with SyFy and Buffy the Vampire Slayer producer Marti Noxon to develop a pilot for a show called Proof.
The proposed series would revolve around the son of a billionaire tech genius who offers a large reward for anyone who can find proof of life after death after his parents perish in a tragic accident.
Batman meets Ghost…we kinda dig the premise. Hopefully
