19-year-old Ashley Kauffman is caught up in a media mess after claiming that ushers at American Idol sent her to the back row of the theater for being “just too big, too heavy to be in the front.”

Execs at the show are calling bullshit.

Manfred Wetphal, head of communications for the company that produces the show, says that because there were 6 people in the party with Ashley, they needed to split them up into 2 groups of 3.

Wetphal says that contrary to what Ashley claims, she was not sent to the back of the theater — she was put four rows behind her friends, "directly in camera shot, in some of the best seats in the house."

Hmmmmmmmm

Someone is obviously lying.

Whomever it is should step forward. Let’s stop this embarrassment and find the culprit!
