Heather Heyer's Parents Preach Forgiveness At The Charlottesville Victim's Memorial Service: 'You Just Magnified Her'

Heather Heyer may be gone, but she won't be silenced.

That's one thing the mother of the 32-year-old — who was killed on Saturday when a car plowed into a crowd of counter-protesters at Charlottesville's white nationalist rally — made clear at the activist's memorial service.

On Wednesday, Susan Bro received a standing ovation as she assured mourners Heather's death only "magnified" her voice — and that continuing to have dialogues is the only way to "carry Heather's spark through."

She told the crowd of over 1,000 people:

"They tried to kill my child to shut her up — well, guess what — you just magnified her… I want this to spread, I don't want this to die. This is just the beginning of Heather's legacy."

The memorial was held Wednesday morning at Charlottesville's Paramount Theater and attended by many including Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe and Sen. Tim Kaine.

Bro revealed that a public memorial is what her daughter would have wanted, adding Heather "had to have the world involved [in her death], because that's my child. Always has been."

The Charlottesville native encouraged attendees to make Heather's death worthwhile by continuing her fight in advocacy for equal rights. She explained:

Donald Trump Goes Back To Blaming 'Both Sides' For Violence In Charlottesville — Are You Fucking Kidding Us?

Filed under: Icky Icky PooPolitikDonald TrumpViolence

Donald Trump

Shame on you, Donald Trump.

As we reported, it took TWO days — and a shit ton of pressure — for POTUS to denounce the KKK, neo-nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups (by name) following the violence in Charlottesville on Saturday.

Then, at a press conference on Tuesday, Trump stood at the podium and proceeded to DEFEND the alt-right and go back to his initial response of blaming "both sides" for what happened. He also went on to say his response time was "excellent" despite what pretty much everyone else thinks.

POTUS said to reporters:

"What about the alt-left that came charging at the alt-right? Do they have any semblance of guilt? … You had a group on one side that was bad and you had a group on the other side that was also very violent. nobody wants to say it, but I will say it right now.""

OMG.

Not only was Trump defending white nationalists, but when he was asked if he'll visit Charlottesville following last weekend's violence, his response was that he owns a winery there. Good to know.

You really can't make this stuff up. He is such a garbage person.

This Charlottesville Footage Is Emotionally Disturbing And Very NSFW — And You Need To Watch It

Filed under: Icky Icky PooTV NewsDonald TrumpSad SadViolenceScary!

We never thought we'd get such an inside look at Charlottesville.

Before it became a deadly tragedy, before it became a huge national embarrassment by highlighting Donald Trump's failure to condemn Nazis, before it even happened, VICE News was there.

The HBO reporters were filming an episode about the growing white nationalist movement in Trumpmerica and their first big rally when things exploded into a full-on act of terror as an alt-right Nazi drove into a crowd of protesters.

Thanks to the embedded cameras, you can hear the alt-right marchers' own words, learn just how much these people really are Nazis, and see everything leading up to and including the violence.

But we warn you, the footage is disturbing and very NSFW. And you also need to watch it.

Ch-ch-check it out (above)!

David Mueller Speaks Out After Verdict In Taylor Swift Groping Case

David Mueller

Even after being found guilty for sexual assault and battery in the Taylor Swift groping case, former radio host David Mueller is still insisting he's innocent.

In his first televised interview since the verdict, he spoke with ABC News (played in part on Good Morning America on Tuesday) and said:

"What I'm saying is I didn't do what they say I did. I didn't do it. I never grabbed her. I never had my hand under her skirt — and I can pass a polygraph [test]."

He went on to explain his hand placement in the infamous meet-and-greet photo:

"I wasn't invited to be in the photo, so I just moved into the shot the best I could."

When asked why he waited two years to sue the singer for defamation, Mueller explained that he initially "asked for something in writing, which stated there was a misunderstanding" in order to "possibly convince" radio stations to hire him after being fired from KYGO, to no avail. He also announced he may appeal the jury's decision from yesterday.

Late Night Sounds Off On Donald Trump's Inability To Condemn White Supremacists After Charlottesville Rally — 'Ignoring It Is Just As Bad As Supporting It'

no title

What a horrible weekend.

On Monday night, late night hosts Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, and Stephen Colbert all criticized Donald Trump for taking TWO days to condemn the KKK, neo-nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups (by name) following the violence in Charlottesville on Saturday.

In a serious monologue on The Tonight Show, Fallon (who typically remains pretty neutral) said:

"The fact that it took the president two days to come out and clearly denounce racists and white supremacists is shameful … And I think he finally spoke out because people everywhere stood up and said something."

He went on:

"It's important for everyone, especially white people in this country, to speak out against this. Ignoring it is just as bad as supporting it … We all need to stand against what is wrong, acknowledge that racism exists and stand up for what is right and civil and kind. We cannot do this. We can't go backward. We can't go backward."

Preach.

Kimmel, Meyers, and Colbert took it even a step further by proving how easy it is to denounce white supremacists… something our President failed to immediately do after the events in Virginia.
