An unidentified seven-year-old girl is the sole survivor of a Kentucky plane crash that left four other family members of the little girl deceased.
And this story is on one hand a miracle and on the other hand a tragedy of such epic proportions!
The incident happened this past Friday night when a little girl, bloody and disoriented, walked almost a mile from the plane wreckage to a house in the vicinity.

The man who met her there was shocked by the little girl’s appearance. Here’s what he said:
“The little girl come to my door. She was bleeding pretty bad, her legs were bleeding, her face had a bloody nose. She was barefoot, only had one sock on. She told me that her mom and dad were dead, and she was in a plane crash and the plane was upside down. She asked if she could stay here. I said, ‘Honey, what can I do for you?’ I got a washcloth and cleaned her up. I felt so sorry for her, tears come to my eyes. Seven years old. Brave little girl. This girl came out of the wreckage herself and found the closest residence and reported the plane crash. It’s a miracle in a sense that she survived it, but it’s tragic that four others didn’t.”
Those four other people included the unnamed little girl’s mother, father, 14-year-old cousin, and 9-year-old sister.
The family was on the small Piper PA-34 plane going to Mount Vernon, Illinois and had apparently left from Key West, Florida when they experienced engine trouble somewhere over Kentucky.
The family of the little girl who amazingly survived, and is expected to make a complete recovery, have asked to keep the little one’s name out of the media spotlight. And we don’t blame them!
The little one will need a lot of time and help to get over this awful tragic series of events. The fact that she’s alive is already baffling, but we can’t imagine losing basically one’s entire family.
It’s so sad.
