Love Island USA’s Alannah Keyser Breaks Silence After Being Kicked Off Show Following Resurfaced Video Of Her Using Racial Slur

Alannah Keyser is speaking out.

One week ago, the 21-year-old made her debut on Love Island USA as a bombshell, but her shine was quickly overshadowed when the skeletons in her closet were revealed online. ICYMI, social media sleuths quickly dug up examples of Alannah using racial slurs — particularly the N-word — in multiple situations throughout the past, including in a video of her singing the lyrics to Roddy Ricch’s The Box. Because of the controversy, Love Island fans immediately began calling for her removal from the show… And now that’s happened.

Four days after making her debut on the reality dating show, narrator Iain Stirling announced the Instagram model had left the villa:

“Welcome back to Love Island USA. Alannah has left Casa Amor.”

And now that the dust has settled on her departure, she’s speaking out. In a TikTok shared on Saturday, Alannah told followers:

“I do want to begin by addressing the video of me singing along to a Roddy Ricch song that contains a racial slur. I’m sorry to whoever has seen that video and has been offended by it. That was never my intention. The video is from six years ago, and that word is just not in my vocabulary anymore.”

She went on to address the screenshots circulating of her seemingly using the same slur, claiming they’ve been “falsified.”

“What has been shared does not reflect the truth, and it’s never been in my character to discriminate against anybody’s skin color. I do want to say directly that I do not support racism or discrimination of any kind, and I never have.”

Alannah went on to reflect on the disastrous situation:

“When I first found out that these things were going around online, it really broke my heart and I couldn’t do anything about it. But this has definitely been a learning lesson for me, and it sucks that I didn’t get a chance to really show my personality and who I am.”

People has since learned that the video depicting Alannah using the racial slur was not available online during Peacock‘s vetting process. Oof… Prior to speaking out, Alannah’s dad Stephane Keyser defended her, telling TMZ she’s not racist and is actually an “educated sweetheart.”
