During their presentation at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, the superhero studio confirmed Black Panther 3 is hitting theaters on December 15, 2028… With none other than David Jonsson behind the mask!

If you’re unfamiliar with the British actor, he’s been carving out an undeniable corner in Hollywood with roles in Alien: Romulus, The Long Walk, Industry, and more.

Director Ryan Coogler confirmed during the presentation that David isn’t a recast, as he will be playing an adult version of Chadwick’s character T’Challa’s son, who was introduced at the end of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever — the film where Letitia Wright played the titular character.

In addition to David, it was confirmed that Denzel Washington is joining the blockbuster, which will see familiar faces Letitia Wright and Winston Duke returning.
