Disturbing revelations have resurfaced in light of the new sexual misconduct allegations against Jared Leto.
On Wednesday, a wave of new allegations came in accusing the Dallas Buyers Club actor of various sexual crimes between 2002 and 2016, including statutory rape, sexual assault, and more. The women who spoke up were featured in BBC’s documentary Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret, which explores their disturbing accusations following years of rumors and previous claims of sexual misconduct. As the curtain begins to be pulled back on the Oscar-winning actor’s alleged behavior, upsetting revelations from years past are bubbling back up.
10 years ago, Jared divided fans with his portrayal of The Joker in DC’s Suicide Squad. But beyond what fans saw on the silver screen, the cast members he shared scenes with were subjected to a barrage of shocking pranks… if they can even be classified as such. During a 2016 interview with E! News, the now-54-year-old actor, who infamously went full method to get in the mind of the comic book villain, admitted he sent his A-list co-stars Margot Robbie, Will Smith, and others horrifying gifts such as “anal beads,” “used condoms,” “rats,” “bullets,” a dead “hog,” and more. He told the interviewer on the red carpet:
“I know it’s a family show but we can educate people. At least [the condoms] were used.”

The interviewer specifically asked who Jared “sent used condoms to,” to which the Fight Club actor revealed:
“Oh everybody. Maybe they didn’t want to tell you, but I did a lot of things to create a dynamic, to create an element of surprise, spontaneity, and to really break down any kind of walls that may be there. The Joker is somebody who doesn’t really respect things like personal space and boundaries.”
It’s wild that these aren’t even just allegations… Jared admitted to everything on his own volition — arguably with a sense of pride.

On the same red carpet, Will, who plays Deadshot in the film, sounded off on receiving the gruesome gifts:
“Jared has gone full Joker. He went full Joker, and the rule generally is never go full Joker … But he really set the tone. He wasn’t playing with it, he was dead serious. As an actor, he was going [into this character] 100 percent and he really jarred the rest of us.”
Margot, who played Harley Quinn, added:
“I got so many weird things I can’t even begin to tell you the weird things I got.”

She claimed that by the point she received the graphic gifts, she felt like she “knew The Joker a bit so it wasn’t as alarming, but ultimately never knew “what to expect with Jared.”
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who played Killer Croc, recalled:
“I got a number of gifts from Jared [that] I don’t like to talk about … He sent used condoms and sticky Playboy magazines. I just wasn’t right. If you’re going to have that kind of bite, at least invite the Croc … Don’t send me your dirty leftovers, that just isn’t right. You see why he ain’t part of the Squad, right?”
On the “dead pig” Jared sent, Adewale said it “unified” the cast “against him.” He revealed:
“We sent the messenger back with the dead pig with our own personalized message.”
Were the used condoms, “sticky” Playboy magazines, and dead pig not a HEALTH HAZARD? Mind you, at the time Jared would have been around 44 years old, while Margot was just in her mid-20s early in her Hollywood career, which adds another predatory element… Watch more (below):
As we previously covered, multiple women have come forward accusing Jared of sexual misconduct, many of which when they were teenagers. The 30 Seconds to Mars frontman has since denied any and all wrongdoing. He told TMZ on Wednesday:
“I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false.”
