New video has been released of Kelly Clarkson‘s time at Art of Play!
Amidst the surreal drama surrounding the former talk show host and the whimsical home goods store, store surveillance footage now gives the internet an inside look at what went down that fateful day in Brooklyn.
The video, which has no audio, shows the OG American Idol winner entering the store, perusing items, and eventually inquiring about the now legendary “Molly” — a singing bird automaton.

Kelly was so intrigued she wondered how one would look in her own home, but according to her version of events, things went south fast. She told her followers on X (Twitter):
“Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy and literally was looked at as if I couldn’t afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me. Wow, dude. You’re an idiot and just lost a huge sale. But y’all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman. For sure, check it out”
Meanwhile, the store insists it was all an “insane misunderstanding” and have invited her back to the store while also calling her out for tweeting her negative experience to millions of people.
In a new chat with the press, co-owner Adam Rubin told reporters her public blast has put them in danger, saying:
“We hold no ill will against Kelly Clarkson. We invite her to come back and enjoy the store. But, we find her gross abuse of power completely reprehensible, and she should face social consequences.”
Now, store video has been released, and in it we see Kelly visibly upset when she leaves, telling the front store clerk something we can’t make out as there’s no audio while clearly stunned by her interaction in the shop.
Watch for yourself below (keep in mind, you will need to watch through YouTuber commentary in between the various clips):
So, now that you’ve seen it, does that change anything for you? Does it sway you one way or the other? Without audio it’s hard to grasp the full story, especially since it seems Kelly’s experience centered around the alleged “condescending tone” given to her.
Regardless of where you land, reminder: none of this warrants any trolling, hate speech, threats, doxxing, etc. — all unfortunate things the co-owner says they and their neighbors are now experiencing because of the fallout.
If you’re Team Kelly, lift her up by streaming her music more or sending positive messages of support. If you’re Team Art of Play, lift them up by sharing your positive experiences in the store and continuing to support their business. Be cool, y’all.
