The world is rejoicing over the news that Osama Bin Laden is dead, but Hollywood is dominating the Twitterverse with their reactions. Everyone from Oprah Winfrey to Charlie Sheen shared their thoughts with their many followers about the historic news. Here are just a few of the celebrity tweets:
Oprah Winfrey: “Trying to decide what to do about tomorrow’s show with [Obama] that was taped last week. War is definitely not over.”
Katy Perry: “America! F**k yeah! Here to save the motherf**kin’ day, yeah! Does anyone else find it strange that this is announced on May Day? I am relieved in some ways, but have a feeling of uncertainty now. I believe in justice, but don’t you think that an eye for an eye will make the world blind?”
Neil Patrick Harris: Everyone is sitting around my living room, mouths agape. Wow, what a night. Thank you, Mr. President, for such an eloquent speech.
Lily Allen: “I know that Osama Bin Laden is dead, but if we could all stop for a minute to consider today’s REAL news I’d very much appreciate it… It is my birthday.”
Charlie Sheen: “Dead or Alive. WE PREFER DEAD! Well done SEAL team! AMERICA: #WINNING that’s how we roll…. c.”
A historic day indeed!
