Who WOULDN’T say yes to Brad Pitt?
Last we heard about the upcoming Jeff Buckley biopic, Penn Badgley had landed the title role in the film.
Now, the film’s producers have opened up about the origins of the biopic, and how Buckley’s mom originally wanted Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston to take on the project.
Buckley’s mom chose Brad and Jennifer’s prod co Plan B to take on the project because “[Brad] was really kind to her and she appreciated that he wanted to make a movie inspired by Jeff’s life.” How sweet.
Here’s more on why Buckley’s mom wanted Plan B for the project:
“She was impressed that Brad took interest in her son’s life and wanted to make a film about him for the right reasons and in the right way.”
And here’s how Jennifer influenced the project from the way beginning:
“Jennifer Aniston actually introduced Brad to Jeff’s music. She has always been a fan of his. But when they broke up, the project never came to fruition because it was part of their joint Plan B production company.”
Too bad things didn’t work out with Brad and Jen the film. We’re very glad to see it’s still happening elsewhere though!
