Zahara Becomes Latest Of Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie's Kids To Officially Drop His Last Name!

Another one of Brad Pitt‘s kids has legally dropped his name.

As we reported back in July, Angelina Jolie‘s daughter Zahara Marley Jolie made the necessary moves to get ‘Pitt’ dropped from her government name by taking an ad out in a local paper.

According to state law, individuals looking to legally change their name are required to publish an Order to Show Cause in a local newspaper for four consecutive weeks prior to said individual’s court date in order to allow anyone opposing the decision to formally object.

Zahara’s hearing date was set for today, Monday 9/28, and her request was reportedly approved by Judge Virginia Keeny at the Los Angeles Superior Court’s Stanley Mosk Courthouse.

Per Page Six, a source close to Brad claims:

“This is the latest installment in what complete and total alienation looks like with an extra topping of trying to deflect attention from their ex’s success. Anyone who has actually been a part of this for the last ten years would know that there’s only one side that talks about and has tried to weaponize the kids.”

But Page Six also got a reply from Angelina’s camp, and they fired back!

“Today’s hearing was required by law and scheduled months ago by the L.A. court system. It’s a new low to have his camp to spin a conspiracy theory, disavow responsibility for his conduct, and attack his own child. Keep in mind, his daughter has had the grace not to discuss the details of his behavior in public.”

As for the other siblings?

Maddox and Shiloh have both legally dropped his last name. Vivienne has filed a petition to get it dropped and is currently in the process of doing so. Knox has not yet filed a petition to make it legal, but it was omitted from his high school diploma. Pax is the only sibling who hasn’t stopped using it, although that’s reportedly only out of respect for other members of Brad’s side of the family.
