(Concert promoters and venue owners) Live Nation is throwing loads of money ’round these days!
According to the New York Times, a Live Nation/Jay Z deal worth approximately $150 million will be finalized this week!
First Live Nation signed Her Madgesty, then Bono and friends…now Hova.
Who knew the Nation had such deep pockets?
The deal with the soon-to-be groom includes financing for his own entertainment venture, in addition to recordings and tours for the next decade. It’s reportedly the most expansive deal yet from Live Nation.
More so than Madonna?????
Basically, it looks like Live Nation wants to be the one stop shop for anything and everything Jay-Z. From clothing to concerts to albums – Live Nation is putting up shit loads of money to help Jay move his visions forward and in return LN gets a cut of all revenue generated.
Jay-Z is getting approx $60 million in upfront payments according to the report!!!! DAY-UM!
Jay-Z said Live Nation’s consolidated approach was in sync with the emerging potential “to reach the consumer in so many different ways right now.” He added, “Everyone’s trying to figure it out. I want to be on the front lines in that fight.”
Wonder if Jay is making Beyonce sign a pre-nup????
