Looks like someone got fed up with politics.
Kal Penn, best known for his work in the Harold & Kumar franchise, quit acting to focus more on his government interests.
He accepted the role as Associate Director in the White House Office of Public Engagement in 2009.
But, like a lot of guys in politics, he’s flip-flopped right back into acting.
Kal will be the newest actor to star in the CBS sitcom, How I Met Your Mother, as a love interest for Robin.
The show’s co-creator, Craig Thomas, told reporters:
Robin didn’t do a hell of a lot of dating at all [last season]. She was more [immersed in] switching careers.
So fans of the show can probably bet on a lot of making-out for Robin.
