Times are tough all over. Maybe even for the 1%!
There was a story not too long about Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Adrienne Maloof and her husband, Dr. Paul Nassif being a little bent for a buck. In other words – they were broke.
While the couple vehemently denied the claim, shortly after it was discovered that Dr. Nassif was offering his plastic surgeon services at a discounted price. Members of Gilt City, a location-based coupon/deal service much like Living Social or Groupon, noticed that Paul was offering coupons to his office for special procedures, a decision we were sure was prompted by a need to bring money in during a hard time.
But when Paul was approached on the subject, he insisted that the offers were just a means to bring in new customers and aid the loyal ones who are actually falling on hard times. He explained:
├óΓé¼┼ô…I know people everywhere [are cutting back] so we├óΓé¼Γäóve come up with a way to make the most luxurious treatments available to as many people as possible at these affordable prices,├óΓé¼┬¥ Dr. Nassif explains, adding that one new treatment, Zerona, will ├óΓé¼┼ôrevolutionize the way people are able to shape and tone their bodies.├óΓé¼┬¥
Wow. That’s nice of him, trying to think of his customers. And smart too, because we don’t believe him for a second when he says he hasn’t fallen on hard times. There’s no shame in what he’s doing, but let’s call it what it is: an attempt to keep the circulation of funds flowing as usual!
