Anna Hathaway is setting the record straight about whether she got a facelift!
If you’ve seen the actress lately, you’ve probably thought: Damn! She looks good! She never ages! And then you might have asked yourself: Did she undergo plastic surgery to achieve her more youthful appearance? The answer is…
NO!
Following the Oscars in March, Anne posted a GRWM video on Instagram to spill the nonsurgical “trick” to looking snatched! Her hairstylist revealed they make two braids at her temples and pull them back for an instant facelift! Watch (below):

And if you didn’t believe Anne after the video, she’s making it clear now she has not gotten a facelift — at least, not yet! When asked in a new interview for Elle this week if the video was a “pointed denial” to all the rumors, Anne responded:
“I wouldn’t say pointed. But we’re at a time when people feel very confident in assuming what they think is fact, and sometimes what they think is accurate and sometimes it’s not.”

Normally, Anne wouldn’t comment on anything. But the speculation became too “loud” and “distracting” for her to ignore:
“My preference would be to never comment on anything and to just live in the mystery and not draw attention to myself, but the speculation has gotten so loud that you do feel the need to just get your truth out there. And I’ll probably always wonder, ‘Should I have posted that or not? Should I have just kept going and done the thing that makes me happy and makes me feel more confident on the red carpet?’ But I felt like the conversation was becoming distracting.”
The Devil Wears Prada 2 star then insisted she hasn’t undergone a major “medical” procedure on her appearance:
“Also, by the way, these are huge medical decisions that people are presuming. I wanted to show that like, no, I didn’t make a huge medical decision. It’s just two braids.”
That said, she may change her mind one day! She added:
“And by the way, the other thing about all this is, I might still get a facelift someday.”
If Anne eventually wants one, good for her! Whatever makes her happy! No judgment here!
But if the facelift rumors happened earlier in her career, Anne likely wouldn’t have addressed them so calmly:
“One of the things about younger me is she was really scared, and I think that fear made me harsh with myself,. I shudder at the thought that I might have inadvertently been harsh with other people while I was being harsh with myself. I actually get nauseous thinking about it.”
Aww! Well, Anne handled the speculation beautifully right now! And gave us all a neat trick to try out!
