Even though she didn’t take home the Oscar on Sunday, costume designer Arianne Phillips says working with Madonna on W.E. was far better than any golden statue.
Miz Phillips gushed on the red carpet:
“It’s incredible working with Madonna. She’s one of the most inspiring people I’ve ever known and have the privilege to know. She’s very forward thinking and really curious creatively, which is super admirable and pushes herself to do new things. She’s had a huge influence on me. I’ve worked with her for 15 years dressing her. It was fun working with her on the other side of the camera.”
Arianne added Her Madgesty was very involved with the costume designs for the film because she “understands costumes and jewelry” after wearing so many of them over the years.
Well duh! Whether it’s a music video or in concert, Madonna always puts on a visual feast for the eyes!
