KISS and Mötley Crue announced their 40 date tour, called The Tour (creative, right?) and rocker Gene Simmons had some not too kind words for Rihanna.
As reported earlier, Gene had beef with Madonna and her half-time show, now it’s RiRi’s turn.
Simmons claims that he’s tired of “non-real bands” and said the following about today’s top 40:
We’re sick and tired of girls getting up there with dancers and karaoke tapes in back of them.
No fake bullshit. Leave that to the Rihanna, Shmianna and anyone who ends their name with an ‘A.
Not cool Gene! Everyone has a right to their opinion but to target some specifically?! That’s a real low blow!
Tommy Lee echoed his sentiments but took a higher road.
No disrespect to Rihanna, she’s a great singer, but we’re in a slump for some shit that has some personality and appeal beyond a bunch of pop stuff that’s floating around out there.
I’m glad he said that actually because I don’t think i can bear watching another f***ing award show that is just a little bit better than ‘American Idol.’ It’s f***ing pathetic to watch people go out and f***ing karaoke with a bunch of lights and video. It’s all completely watered down.
Everyone’s got beef! Where’s the lettuce positivity???!!!!
Music should be loved by all, especially by other musicians!
