Katy Perry has already cemented her place in the history of pop music. But knowing she plans on finding inspiration from Madonna means extra gold lollipops (and lace, and handcuffs)!
If you’ve been keeping up, then you know we recently gabbed about her fierce L’Uomo Vogue cover, but now we’re gonna have a lil’ kiki about the inside beauty.
As she’s said before, her next album is gonna be dark! She basically wants to become a recluse and write in the woods.
But within the treasured pages of the fashion magazine, she reveals her other plans, confessing:
“I think Madonna, especially in the beginning of her career when she was laying the foundation, was evolving every single time and giving a new visual and a new idea to the public. She kept everybody interested because you never knew what she was going to do next, but whatever she delivered was a solid product. I just hope to be the same. I hope to continually make people interested and hopefully in 10 years look back and have written songs that have become timeless.”
Paying homage to the Queen will get you everywhere! Ha!
We know the album won’t come out for a while, but we’re content with that — because that means it’s gonna be all killer, no filler.
