This Material Girl is fearless!
Madonna is not happy that the three women comprising the Russian punk band Pussy Riot have been locked up for speaking out against Vladimir Putin.
We heard she had spoken up on their behalf while in Moscow earlier this week, but now we get to SEE it (above)!
The Queen of Pop stopped her concert in the country’s capital on Tuesday night to applaud the “courageous” women who “have paid the price for this act” and encouraged her audience to pray for their freedom.
We’re glad to see that Madge isn’t afraid to stand up for what she feels is right, but we sincerely hope she doesn’t end up paying the price for this act either. As we reported yesterday, someone has made terror threats against her show in St. Petersburg tonight.
Despite the U.S. Embassy’s warnings, she feels the show must go on, so we’re praying that it goes on without any kind of complications!
