Burberry Checks Out

Burberry has taken legal action against the pet store chain, Pets At Home, for copyright infringement. Apparently, the pet supplies store was hawking dog coats and baskets using a plaid pattern that imitated Burberry’s signature check a little too closely, and so the luxury clothier filed suit. Pets At Home has since removed the items in question from their 250 retail locations, but no legal verdict has yet been reached.
Yikes!
So important to make sure you don’t get too “inspired,” by others’ work, especially if those others are powerful fashion houses with high-paid lawyers!
