After news broke on Friday that French Vogue‘s Carine Roitfeld would be resigning, the fashion world started speculating on what she’d do next.
Many believed she and Tom Ford would be collaborating again, just like they did in the 90s when the designer was at Gucci and then Yves Saint Laurent.
Unfortunately, that’s not happening.
Tom squashed those rumors almost immediately, telling the New York Times:
“Carine and I have no plans to work together at the moment, and it is nothing that we have even discussed, but of course I think she is brilliant and we are close friends so who knows about the future.”
And there you have it.
At least there’s still a possibility. Maybe on his next womenswear collection?
