Kate Middleton is only a princess-to-be, but when it comes to setting trends she’s the queen!
Ever since the future Royal stepped out in North Wales wearing a velvet fascinator accented with pheasant feathers, sales for similar headpieces have soared.
UK retailer Peacocks reported a 95% sales increase since the February 24th public appearance.
The store’s head of accessories said of the sudden surge:
The appeal of our new princess is turning the nation into Kate watchers. Fascinator sales were definitely on the wane, however we’re now looking forward to frou frou feathered creations being back for the summer and we’re expecting sales to rise and rise.”
