Remember how Madonna was sued for calling her Macy’s clothing line Material Girl?
Almost a year after the lawsuit was filed, a judge has denied Her Madgesty’s request to throw out the case filed by LA Triumph and is set to go to trial next month.
MG Icon tried to argue Madonna was the senior user of the Material Girl trademark after releasing the song back in 1984, but Judge S. James Otero disagreed.
LA Triumph, who released a clothing line with the same name in 1997, is suing for unspecified damages and wants Madge to find a new name for her clothing line.
