Fashion editors wanting use pieces from Marc Jacobs S/S 2012 collection in their upcoming photo shoots are S.O.L. because the whole thing was stolen!
The designer’s PR team broke the bad news in an email just before their big press day. The email read:
“Dear all,
The Marc Jacobs PR team is sorry to inform you that our press day tomorrow in the Marc Jacobs store is canceled, due to the theft of the spring/summer 2012 collections during its transfer from Paris.”
This person clearly has no idea about fashion.
First of all, the clothes are sample sizes so that automatically limits who they could try to sell it to. And second, since they haven’t been distributed it’s going to be pretty obvious how he or she got them especially with all the press.
