Solange Knowles has been receiving a lot of hate over an interview featured in the June issue of Essence magazine.
Snippets from Beyonce├óΓé¼Γäós sister’s interview were posted on Curly Nikki, where disgruntled readers took it upon themselves to rip Solange’s words apart.
Here are some HIGHlights:
“Natural hair can be VERY beautiful. Solange’s hair is not. Even if she wore an afro, pick it out even or something. It always looks unkempt.”
“Solange wears ‘natural’ wigs more than she wears she own natural and when she does, it looks dry, unstyled and unshaped. If she’s truly proud of her natural look, she needs to get from under the wigs and work with her own hair.”
Solange somehow got wind of the rude jabs, and in typical celebrity fashion, she took to her Twitter to vent her frustations:
├óΓé¼┼ôI’ve never painted myself as a team natural vice president. I don’t know the lingo and I don’t sleep with a satin cap.├óΓé¼┬¥
“My hair is not very important to me├óΓé¼┬ªso I don’t encourage it to be important to you.├óΓé¼┬¥
Girl, your hair is fantastic!
Sounds like all these people just have a case of jealousy! Keep doing you!
