It’s not luck that Katy Perry‘s found love so many times! She revealed to Cosmopolitan in 2014 that she uses rose quartz crystals to attract lovers! She explained:

“I don’t stay single for long. I carry a lot of rose quartz, which attracts the male. Maybe I need to calm it down with the amethyst. I’m not like Professor Higgins with my sex life. I’m not super strict. For me, the most important thing about sex is connection.”

Well, the crystals worked! In 2016, she started dating Orlando Bloom, who she welcomed a daughter with before they called off their engagement in 2025. Despite the heartbreak, she wasn’t single for long before linking up with Justin Trudeau.

Vanessa Hudgens straight up calls herself a witch! Back in 2023, she told Nylon:

“I’ve always been drawn towards the darkness and the unknown, as well as herbalism ever since I was a kid. And nature. I always felt the most grounded and connected when I was surrounded by trees.”

She added that witchcraft helps her connect to “my angels, my ancestors, my spirit guides, my spiritual brigade.” She says she’s even seen ghosts before, including while living in a house she believed was “haunted.” The High School Musical alum likes this stuff so much she released a documentary titled Dead Hot, which explores what it means to be a witch in this day and age. Cool!

Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey loves casting a spell — and once tried getting her fans to do a binding spell on Donald Trump! If you don’t know, that’s a spell that’s meant to stop a person from doing harmful things. So, you can see why the singer wanted to use it against the President back in 2017, during his first term in office. When asked if she performed the spell herself, she told NME:

“Yeah, I did it. Why not? Look, I do a lot of s**t.”

LOLz! While speaking to Billboard later, Lana opened up more about her beliefs:

“I’m in line with Yoko [Ono] and John [Lennon] and the belief that there’s a power to the vibration of a thought. Your thoughts are very powerful things and they become words, and words become actions, and actions lead to physical charges. I really do believe that words are one of the last forms of magic and I’m a bit of a mystic at heart.”

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen know not to let negative energy screw a good thing up! The Full House stars love a popular witchy practice known as smudging — AKA cleaning negative energy out of spaces — and crystal healing.

In 2017, Mary-Kate told Vogue:

“I sage everything, all the time. Constantly sage’ing. I don’t want bad energy.”

During their The Row Fall 2018 runway, they also gave away black and white quartz crystals, explaining:

“This crystal is a protective stone which repels and blocks negative energies. It also works in reducing fear and increasing focus.”

Seems like a big passion of theirs!

Stevie Nicks

Stevie Nicks is one of the OG witches of our times! Folks think she even called herself a witch in the Fleetwood Mac hit Rhiannon with lyrics like:

“She is like a cat in the dark / And then she is to darkness / She rules her life like a fine skylark / And when the sky is starless”

While she’s said the song is about a powerful goddess, she’s also introduced the song as “about a witch” before.

Stevie leaned into her witchy vibes through an appearance in American Horror Story and by allowing Practical Magic to use two songs of hers. Plus, she loves magic! The artist once said:

“I totally believe in magic. Because my life, I think, has been very magic, and magical things have come true for me time after time after time.”

Beyoncé?

Beyonce accused of witchcraft

For some celebs, though, accusations of witchcraft have actually been problematic!

According to The Blast, back in 2018, Beyoncé‘s former drummer sued her for allegedly using vindictive witchcraft! In the lawsuit, the musician alleged the singer practiced “extreme witchcraft [and] dark magic.” WHAT?! The case was eventually thrown out. So, no, the closest Queen Bey gets to witchcraft is only when she leans into southern gothic aesthetics for her art.
