Sean Penn couldn’t help but emotionally express his gratitude after winning the Humanitarian Award at the Hollywood Awards earlier this week.
U.S. Army Lt. General Ken Keen presented Penn with the award and called him “selfless” in his work in Haiti.
Penn choked up:
“I will never be able to say enough about the dignity and skills of the young men and women of the United States in their humanitarian mission in Haiti.├óΓé¼┬¥
He continued:
“This is going to sound funny. It might even make my friend Ken a little uncomfortable. But trust me the contributions of the following group were unified: Presidents Obama, Clinton, Pr├â┬⌐val, Ch├â┬ívez, and Castro. All channeled their energies despite their differences and continue to in ways that directly support our actions.”
He has done some amazing work in Haiti and without a doubt deserves this award!
