William Shatner is one painfully kind man.
The Sh*t My Dad Says actor has saved a family from homelessness by selling his kidney stone (ouch)!
The veteran Hollywood star managed to convince bosses at gambling website GoldenPalace.com to pay $21,000 for the stone in 2005.
With the help of his Boston Legal castmates, he took the profits and made a total donation of $84,000 to housing charity Habitat for Humanity in the U.S.
The charity used the donated money to build a house for a family who lost their home in Hurricane Katrina.
Shatner is proud of his creative charitable efforts too, revealing:
“I have a picture of a lovely family with three kids, living in a home that my kidney stone built.”
What an awesome idea, Mr. Shatner! We applaud you’re charity work!
