7 Pains Not To Ignore

Many people subscribe to the idea of “walking off” an ailment.

Which is fine… most of the time.

There are, however, certain pains discomforts that you shouldn’t ignore, as they could be symptoms of something more serious.

1. Chest pain
If you experience chest pain that doesn’t go away, varied shortness of breath, and any upper body pain that hasn’t occurred before call 911 immediately.

2. Severe head pain
It could just be a migraine, but maybe it isn’t. If you experience sudden, severe head pain it could be an aneurysm, which can lead to brain damage within minutes.

3. A throbbing tooth
If your tooth is cracked and your nerve becomes damaged (which you will be able to feel), go see a dentist. If your nerve gets infected it can spread through your face and body and cause a lot of damage.

4. Sharp pain in your side
Everyone gets tummy aches, but if you feel terrible pain in your right side and are also nauseated and running a fever, you might have appendicitis. Don’t wait to go get help.

5. Abdominal discomfort with gas or bloating
If you experience bloating and gassiness for an extended period of time (days), and you find that you become full quicker than you used to, it may be ovarian cancer. People who have these symptoms for more than two or three weeks should see a doctor.

6. Back pain with tingling toes
If basic anti-inflammatory medication doesn’t help your back pain, go see a doctor. You may have spine issues.

7. Leg pain with swelling
If your calf is extremely tender in one spot, swollen, and red or warm to the touch, you may have deep-vein thrombosis (DVT), commonly known as a blood clot. If the clot breaks free it can travel to your lung and cut off your oxygen supply, so don’t wait to see a doctor.
