Hooray for royalty!
Prince William and his wife Kate are opening a children’s cancer center at the Royal Marsden Hospital at the end of September.
According to sources, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit the center on Sept. 29 during which they will receive a tour of the unit, meet the staff and patients, then unveil a plaque to officially open the center.
William is even following in the footsteps of his mother, Princess Diana, and will act as president of the hospital!
This is only the beginning of a long line of charitable projects for the couple. Soon, Kate will begin choosing a few causes of her own, as a spokesman for the Royal Family said:
“The Duchess is using the next few months to get to get to know a number of charitable and other causes better, so she can make well informed decisions about her future role.”
Whatever she picks, we’re sure she’ll make a HUGE difference in the lives of those who really need it.
