Oh no! Poor girl.
Two-time world champion Mao Asada of Japan has pulled out of the Grand Prix figure skating final after her mother fell ill.
Asada was in Quebec City preparing for the event, but when word got to her that her mother’s condition worsened, she immediately returned home.
This was shocking news as Asada was set to compete in the first ISU Grand Prix final since 2008.
Our hearts go out to her and her mother. This must be such a difficult time for her.
We’re praying and hoping for a speedy recovery.
