Catholic Leaders Continue To Speak Out Against Obama's Contraceptive Plans

Religious Contraceptives
In a turn of events that isn’t a turn of events, and nobody saw this coming, we swear, Catholic leaders are continuing to hate on Obama‘s “contraceptives for all” plan.
We get it, in the religion you’re not allowed to use contraceptives. Where does it say you can’t offer the CHOICE and let your congregation decide whether or not they want to go against that code?
It just blows our minds. Here’s what they’re saying:

Obama’s proposal “continues to involve needless government intrusion in the internal governance of religious institutions, and to threaten government coercion of religious people and groups to violate their most deeply held convictions.”
“We will therefore continue – with no less vigor, no less sense of urgency – our efforts to correct this problem through the other two branches of government,”

We totally understand where they’re coming from — especially if Obama was forcing condoms to be worn at all times or something, or slipping the pill into drinks — but there is no violation with a choice. Why?
Because they can, and as a part of the religion, should, choose no. Especially if it means that much to them. If you’re afraid of putting people into temptation, well, if you’re doing your job as a religious leader then it would be a very small temptation.
But we also understand that if someone were to stray from the beliefs, it’d be like they were paying for them to go against the church.
That’s when you have to trust your congregation or employees instead of making decisions for them.
And, as usual, Planned Parenthood gets it right:

“Birth control is basic healthcare and women should have access to birth control, no matter where they work. It should not be left up to a boss’s personal beliefs whether his employees should be allowed birth control coverage.”

That’s such a simple and concise statement, and we love it!
The health and well-being of another human being should never be opposed!
