Active Seniors May Outlive Sedentary Peers

Old People Active
This makes perfect sense to us. Why wouldn’t this be the case?!
A new study has shown that the more active a senior is, the longer they’ll live. Out of 893 people about 80 years old, researchers found more active seniors had a lower risk of dying over the four-year study compared to those who moved the least.
Really? We spent money on that?
The caveat is that maybe the ones who were healthier to begin with were the ones who could do more moving, too.
Plus at that age isn’t it their right to do what they want? They’ve totally earned it!
The participants wore a small device on their wrists to record how much they were moving throughout the day — the researchers then followed the group for four years, with 212 of them passing away.
Exactly what anybody thought would happen, did.
Those who moved more, lived longer.
Taaa-daaa! LOLz!
Time to put all that money into better research — like lightsabers and invisibility cloaks.
