As we previously mentioned, Jillian Michaels recently became a mother of two when her partner, Heidi Rhoades, gave birth to a son and Jillian finally officially adopted her daughter Lukensia from Haiti.
It was a long, lonnnnnng adoption process. She originally tried to adopt a child through the Democratic Republic of the Congo but her admission paperwork expired.
She refused to give up so she applied in Haiti. She recently said:
“Adoption is a calling. There is something in you that can├óΓé¼Γäót be denied. You just know in the deepest part of your being that you are meant to find this little soul and guide them through life.”
That’s so beautiful!
If anyone was going to persevere and not quit, it’d be Jillian Michaels.
“That moment of getting Lu out of Haiti and the wheels of the plane touching down in New York — she was an American citizen after two years. It was a heavy moment.”
