The CDC has recently released information that there’s been an alarming increase in the number of West Nile virus cases this year!
There have been over 1,100 reported cases of the virus, with half of them coming from Texas.
We actually kinda forgot about the West Nile virus since it’s out of the news.
It’s a good reminder that we should really be taking precautions to help keep us safe from mosquitos, like wearing long clothes at night or using a bug repellant.
West Nile usually causes infection, can cause the West Nile Fever, and, rarely, can cause swelling of the brain!
So it’s still a serious virus, that is very prevalent and can cause some real problems.
Stay away from ‘squitos!
