Are you still getting into the 2013 groove?
That’s neat — Barbra Streisand has you beat. She’s already well into being the best version of herself in 2013, and has announced a $2 million pledge for women’s heart research. How’s that workout resolution of yours coming along?
LOLz!
She spoke at President Bill Clinton’s second-annual Health Matters: Activating Wellness in Every Generation Conference, and talked about health and junk food:

“I want to start with potato chips. Not to eat. Americans spend $7.9 billion a year on potato chips.”

Oh, it’s on!
That’s when she announced a $2 million donation from the Cedars-Sinai├óΓé¼Γäós Barbra Streisand Women├óΓé¼Γäós Heart Center to go toward women├óΓé¼Γäós heart issues and launching a national campaign to spread awareness and increase education:

├óΓé¼┼ôThe pledges made during this conference will undoubtedly impact many lives for years to come.”

This is all so important for the reason that the whole field of heart research for women is about 35 year behind. You know, because all the research up until a few years ago was done on men, by men, for men — not for women.
Barbra Streisand would like to change that, and we say that’s amazing!
