Wow, way to stay classy, Serena Williams.
We’ve had SO much respect for Serena and her talent over the years, but this is just uncalled for. She took getting destroyed by 19 year old Sloane Stephens in the Australian Open Quarterfinals like a child (above).

A lot of people are going to claim that Serena’s back injury affected her serve too much, but we all know the deal — she just got bested. There’s nothing wrong with that, and it’s not like her career is over. Her reign on the majors is, though.
What we’re trying to say is, it’s not worth it to throw an embarrassing hissy fit. ESPECIALLY when you get beat by a fellow American, let alone an amazing young talent, 3-6, 7-5, 6-4. Guuuuurl, that’s nothing to be ashamed of!!
We ARE glad that she composed herself and went to congratulate Sloane on her first major victory — that was a good move!
