Yay! Whales (and their stomachs) rejoice!
Scientists at the University of British Columbia have discovered a new concoction from fir trees and yeast that may replace ambergris in expensive perfumes.
In layman’s terms, whale upchuck might disappear in your favorite scents!
The wax like substance costs a cray cray amount of cash to produce, averaging around $10K per kilogram.
The new substitute will feature resin from fir trees introduced to yeast for mass production.
Now we can smell good, and be sustainable to the environment.
Plus…NO WHALE VOMIT!
