The Lake Superior Zoo in Duluth, MN experienced some tragic losses when a fiood came through their neck of the woods.
Several animals drowned in the sweeping water and pouring rain, while an eight year old boy was carried by the current for FIVE OR SIX BLOCKS.
Luckily, the boy only suffered a few cuts and scrapes.
Marketing director Holly Hunter confirmed that 11 animals perished, mostly from the barnyard area and two thirds of the zoo is under water.
What’s even worse is that more animals may have drowned, but the flood is preventing a head count.
