Parents Are NOT Liking 'Where the Wild Things Are' Author Maurice Sendak's New Book

The tale of Bumble-Ardy by Where the Wild Things Are author Maurice Sendak is getting bad reviews from everyone parents!

Parents are saying the story of a pig’s birthday party gone wrong is not interesting or appropriate for little kids — especially the parts when the monsters come in and the birthday pig gets a little tipsy.

One Amazon costomer review of the book from a teacher said:

“I was very disappointed. Disturbing book in so many ways.”

If you thought these reviews might bother the author you’d be wrong! Sendak don’t care! He says most children’s books try to,

“keep [kids] calm, keep them happy, keep them snug and safe… I got out of that, and I was considered outlandish. So be it.├óΓé¼┬¥

Where the Wild Things Are got similar reviews when it was originally published, and (obviously) went on to be a literary and success for all ages.

May haps the same will happen for Bumble-Ardy!
