Sofia Vergara, 54, has seemingly responded to Joe Manganiello‘s shocking claims.
As we reported last week, in the 49-year-old True Blood alum’s new book Bloodlines, he shares his side of their marriage story.
If you ask him, Sofia was allegedly so cold to him during his mysterious autoimmune illness that not only was she, he claims, withholding hugs, she even ridiculed his little chihuahua he adopted for comfort.

Well! The Modern Family alum isn’t going to let that stand. She took to Instagram Stories over the weekend to share a post her son Manolo originally shared about the profile of a narcissistic man. In the chart she posted, it says narcissistic men gaslight, blameshift, lie, play victim, make excuses, act like Peter Pan, crave superiority, etc. Some choice words were attached to the post, too:
“Remember kids, when dealing with a narcissist, it doesn’t matter how much you do for them, because they will resent you for it and nothing will ever be enough, and they’ll always somehow try to paint you as the bad guy”
See it for yourself:

Yeah, really hard to see how that could be about anything but her thoughts on Joe at this point. The timing is key!
Fast forward to Monday morning… Joe is promoting his new book on CBS Mornings, and Gayle King just gets right to it. She brings up the part in Joe’s book about Sofia, acknowledges the illness clearly strained their romance, and asks him how he feels about that, to which he replies:
“That kind of pain was like a flood in my life. You can’t predict how that’s gonna affect people. It affected me a certain way, it affected her, it affected my family members.”
Then she brought up the social media post, telling Joe:
“Her son posted a thing that’s like ‘this is what happens when you deal with a narcissistic man’ and she has liked that post, so they appear to be saying, basically, that it’s terrible what happened to you, but the bottom line is you’re a narcissist. What do you say to that?”
And he responds:
“Well, I think anybody who said that should read the book first and understand what the book is actually about because it’s not about that. It’s about the suffering that I went through. I try to paint everyone with an amount of grace, because it is a nuanced discussion, and it’s not something I care to carry out on social media. [The book] is about survival, and it’s also about hope.”
