It’s been a year of ups and downs for Jennifer Lopez.
With the success of American Idol and her album, she’s also had to deal with a divorce from her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
But that’s not stopping Jennifer from loving herself and teaching her 3-year-old twins, Max and Emme, the lessons she wants them to learn.
The triple threat says:
“I think I├óΓé¼Γäóve learned in the past year or two is that I can stand on my own two feet, and to give myself credit for that. To really give myself a little bit of love, instead of always beating myself up for what I didn├óΓé¼Γäót do or how I could have done something better or what else I├óΓé¼Γäóm going to do next. Just take a minute and a beat to appreciate the things that I have accomplished. That├óΓé¼Γäós something that I have to work on, but I├óΓé¼Γäóm working on it. I├óΓé¼Γäóm getting better at it, I think.
That├óΓé¼Γäós the one thing I want to teach my daughter ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ to love herself, and to feel good all on her own, no matter what happens. I just want to teach [my kids] to be great people, to love themselves, to love others, to treat others with respect and kindness, to know that they├óΓé¼Γäóre in a privileged position, and to be charitable and work hard├óΓé¼┬ª just because you have success doesn├óΓé¼Γäót mean that you stop doing those things.”
That’s definitely an important and powerful lesson to instill in your children. We know you still got a bit of that “Jenny from the block” in ya – and we’re sure your kids see it too.
