Quick Tips For A Healthy Home!
Don’t worry about the safety of your home and family — take action!
There are SO many ways you can keep your home safe and your children healthy. Researchers at the Children’s Environmental Health Center at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in NYC have sent us few tips that will help you keep your family safe!
Here’s the first tip from the Center’s Director Dr. Philip J. Landrigan:

1. Check for radon in your home!
Since radon levels increase during the colder months, when your home is buttoned up against the cold, the EPA has designated January national radon action month. Radon has been linked to increasing rates of lung cancer, so make sure your house has been inspected for this invisible gas. Be extra careful about radon in your basement, especially if there are cracks in the floor.
Radon detectors are inexpensive and can be purchased at hardware stores or through your state health department.

Whaaaaaat?
We that’s something we would have NEVER thought of on our own. We’re so grateful Dr. Landrigan brought that to our attention!
