WTF??
So, Friday the Obama administration announced that it would NOT allow religiously affiliated employers (such as universities and hospitals) to deny full birth control coverage to the women they employs.
Obvi, this doesn’t mean the ladies have to use (or buy) any birth control pills covered by their insurance. The Birth Control Mandate just says a woman’s boss can’t decide to not insure birth control for his/her religious reasons.
We think this is just peachy, but conservative cook commentator Eric Metaxas kind of disagrees. He compares the Mandate to the rise of Nazi Germany.
Here’s what he had to say:
“In [my] book, you read about what happened to an amazingly great country, called Germany. I’m half German. Uh, in the early ’30s, little things were happening where the state was bullying the churches. No one spoke up. In the beginning, it always starts really, really small. We need to understand as America, as Americans, if we do not see this as a bright line in the sand, if you’re not a Catholic, if you use contraception, doesn’t matter. Because eventually, this kind of government overreach will affect you. If we don’t speak up, we’re gonna be in trouble.”
HA!!
Letting a employer control how it’s female employes plan their families IS the overreach of power, not the right to choose. How is not having a choice freedom?
Watch to man try to explain that (above)!
