The guy who directed the second Twilight movie, is now writing a “young adult” trilogy of his very own!
The publishing company Little, Brown Books for Young Readers just announced their plans to publish Chris Weitz‘s post-apocalyptic trilogy.
The Young World, the first book the series, is set to release in 2014.
The book takes place in the not-so-distant future in NYC. The publisher says the story picks up right after an unexplained trauma:
“Left every child and adult on earth dead, but, for unknown reasons, teenagers are spared. Anyone between the onset of puberty and the age of twenty-one are in a world with no authority figures.”
Hmmmm… it has potential to be great, OR super cheesy.
Guess we’ll have to wait till 2014 to make any real judgements!
