Giuliana Rancic is putting her ex-boyfriend Jerry O’Connell‘s recollection of their breakup on blast!
Here’s a refresher on the drama if you also don’t remember! In her 2015 memoir Going Off Script, the entertainment reporter claimed Jerry broke up with her over an intercom in 2004 after a year of dating, saying:
“Nope, sorry, homegirl. Things change, but you take care, OK?”

Over two decades later, the actor opened up about their split while appearing on the Let’s Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa podcast this week, where he claimed he doesn’t “recall [his] exact wording.” That being said, he owned up to calling things off with Giuliana over the intercom, which he only did because he had another woman inside his condominium at the time! The identity of the other woman is unknown, but Kelly Ripa speculated it was either Spice Girls member Geri Halliwell or his current wife, Rebecca Romijn.
Well, word got back to Giuliana that Jerry is talking about their horrible breakup all these years later, and now she’s calling out his “fuzzy” memory of what happened! She posted a video to Instagram on Thursday of herself drinking a cocktail on a boat to say:
“So have you guys heard? Apparently, my ex-boyfriend has been talking about our breakup publicly after 22 years.”
Taking a sip of her drink, she added, “Imagine that.” Yeah, imagine. LOLz! The former E! News host continued:
“And it seems that his memory is just a little fuzzy.”
And while Giuliana could give a statement to an outlet, she decided it would be better to break it all down on her podcast with husband Bill Rancic instead! She even invited Jerry to join them! The 51-year-old television personality concluded:
“So I’m on vacation. My email’s been blowing up with like, People Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Page Six, all wanting a comment. And I’m like, you know, I could give two sentences like blah, blah, blah, I wish him all the best. Or I could just take a deep dive and make it a 40-minute podcast. So tune in next week. Bill and Giuliana: The Podcast. And Jerry, you are so invited. We’d love to have you. See you next week.”
