Country star singer Randy Travis was sentenced to 180 days in jail back in August after pleading guilty to drunk driving.
We previously mentioned that he promised to quit drinking after multiple arrests.
Lucky for him, he won’t have to serve a day of his 180 day jail sentence if he can do a few simple things.
He has to stay out of trouble for two years or else the cops can take him directly to jail. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.
He also has to check himself into an inpatient alcohol rehab facility for a minimum of 30 days and also complete 100 hours of community service.
On top of all of that, he has to install one of those ignition interlock devices. It’s that thing that people have to blow into to be able to start their car. Any alcohol in your system and your engine won’t start.
Let’s hope he can do all that and get his life back on track! Then he can concentrate on his music!
