The title for the World’s Most Expensive Cocktail has been bestowed on a newcomer, aptly dubbed The Winston!
Before we tell you how expensive it is, and how it’s made (above), we want to tell you what’s in it. It has two nips of 1858 Croizet cognac: A bottle of the cognac has a $157,000 price tag (and goes for $6,000 per shot). Follow that up with some Grand Marnier Quintessence, Chartreuse Vieillissement Exceptionnellement Prolonge, a dash of Angostura Bitters and shizz like chocolate nutmeg dust, and you’ve got one EXPENSIVE drink!
$12,916 expensive!!
Daaaaaaaaamn!
The funny thing is, in the video (above), the dude who mixes up the drink has to be notified two days in advance before he makes it, and totally tries to justify the price tag. We say it’s absurd!
It beat out the previous record holder: London’s Salvatore Calabrese $8,835 cocktail. This does beg the question as to why can’t we mix you up a shot of Jack, mix it with some diet coke, and then just charge you whatever we want just to claim the title! LOLz!
Still, it does sound pretty delicious!!
